Within the Cannabis plant, there is a classification of compounds known as “Cannabinoids.” Among these are CBD and THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol), along with over a hundred others which scientists have discovered naturally occurring within different Cannabis strains. With various ranges of effects delivered by other cannabinoids like Cannabigerol (CBG) and Cannabinol (CBN), the full collection of cannabinoids forms what is referred to as the “Cannabinoid Spectrum”."

What is the difference between Phytocannabinoids and Cannabinoids?

The difference between Phytocannabinoids and Cannabinoids is minimal, and it comes down to specificity. A Phytocannabinoid is a naturally-occurring concentrated oil that is present in the resin that coats the leaves and flowers of the cannabis plant. Cannabinoid chemicals are present in the resin.

What is the Endocannabinoid System?

The Human Endocannabinoid System refers to the natural cannabis-like molecules produced by the human body.  The main function of the endocannabinoid system is to maintain bodily homeostasis—biological harmony in response to changes in the environment. Endocannabinoid receptors are present throughout the body, including our skin, immune cells, bone, fat tissue, liver, pancreas, skeletal muscle, heart, blood vessels, kidney, and gastrointestinal tract. The endocannabinoid system is involved in a wide variety of processes, including pain, memory, mood, appetite, stress, sleep, metabolism, immune function, and reproductive function.

What is the difference between Marijuana and Hemp?

Cannabis is a genus of flowering plants in the Cannabaceae family, which consists of three primary species: Cannabis sativa, Cannabis indica, and Cannabis ruderalis. “Hemp” is a term used to classify varieties of Cannabis that contain 0.3% or less THC content (by dry weight). “Marijuana” is a term used to classify varieties of Cannabis that contain more than 0.3% THC (by dry weight) and can induce psychotropic or euphoric effects on the user. Hemp is used for making herbal supplements, food, fiber, rope, paper, bricks, oil, natural plastic, and so much more, whereas marijuana is usually used just recreationally, spiritually, and medicinally.

Will these products get me ‘high’?

No. At &Sunny, we use Premium Grade Broad-Spectrum Hemp Oil tested through an independent third-party laboratory to ensure our products contain less than 0.3% THC. THC is the component in hemp that is psychoactive and gives the feeling of being ‘high.’

Will I fail a drug test if I use these products?

&Sunny uses a Broad-Spectrum Hemp oil sourced from USA-grown industrial hemp and may contain trace THC levels below 0.3%. &Sunny does not guarantee that you will or will not pass a drug screen after using our products. However, we reduce the natural levels of THC in our hemp-derived products down to less than 0.0mg.

What is the difference between Full-Spectrum, Broad-Spectrum, and CBD Isolate?

Full-Spectrum:
Full Spectrum CBD is an extract that contains all compounds found naturally occurring in the plant. The full spectrum of cannabinoids, terpenes, and essential oils extracted from the plant work together to magnify the therapeutic benefits of each individual Cannabinoid.

Broad-Spectrum: (What we use at &Sunny)
Broad spectrum CBD is a bit of a mix between Full-Spectrum CBD and CBD Isolate. Like Full Spectrum CBD, the other compounds found within the plant are preserved in the extract; however, like CBD Isolate, THC is completely removed. Because Broad Spectrum CBD contains multiple cannabinoids, it can deliver the enhanced benefits of Full-Spectrum without the risk of psychoactive effects of THC.

Isolate:
In scientific terms, an isolate is the purest form of a compound, which is produced by singularly extracting that compound from its environment and isolating it from all other compounds. With that being said, CBD isolate is the purest form of CBD, which is produced by removing all other compounds found in the plant including terpenes, flavonoids, plant parts, and other Cannabinoids. CBD Isolate is typically extracted from Hemp, due to its low to non-existent THC-content.

In Summary, Full-Spectrum contains all the naturally occurring compounds within the plant, including all of the Cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids, THC, and more. Isolate is a pure form of CBD, which does not contain any other Cannabinoids, terpenes, or flavonoids. Broad-Spectrum gives you the benefits of the wide range of Cannabinoids that Full-Spectrum offers but without THC, therefore not getting you ‘high.’ At &Sunny, we carefully chose the best Premium Grade Broad-Spectrum Hemp Oil to include in our products. We wanted to offer the benefits of all the Cannabinoids without any psychoactive properties.

Why do people take and/or use CBD?

There are several studies that show people use CBD to support their overall wellbeing or to help with target issues. You can do your own research online to see what challenges people are saying CBD helps them, their parents, their children or even their pets overcome. This is what it’s all about for us at &Sunny! We love reading positive stories about the impact CBD products have on people’s everyday lives. While we believe CBD can support wellness in many ways, this is still a young industry and we don’t want to give misleading information. Is CBD Legal?

Yes! In 2018, updates to the U.S. Farm Bill (aka the Agriculture Improvement Act) legalized hemp and the commercial cultivation of hemp under certain regulations. While hemp-derived CBD is legal in all 50 states, CBD derived from marijuana is not legal federally. We are proud to say that &Sunny uses Hemp-derived CBD sourced in the U.S. and is completely legal.

Can I purchase from &Sunny if I am under 18?
